- Anthonys’ long time family owned barber shop located in the Newmarket plaza changed hands after both his father and wife developed health issues… Anthony attempted to stay on at the shop and run a chair part time providing services for his loyal walk-in clientele but in December 2023 pivoted to accepting mobile appointments for clients interested in receiving haircut or shave services in the comfort of their own home… literally bringing the barber chair and warm lather to their space! Now, he is BACK in the shop working a chair part time On Tues/Thurs and on Saturdays. Whether mobile or in the shop, a haircut booked with Anthony recaptures the ever elusive lost art of providing great everyday, no nonsense, classic haircuts and authentic traditional barbering services for gentlemen of all ages.
How It’s Going
- Anthony is offering barbering services to existing and new clients on a mobile basis and the response has been extremely positive! Men of all ages really enjoy the house call service concept and more personalized service it provides! Most gentlemen desire convenience and consistently of always receiving a great haircut from a professional skilled barber they are comfortable with. The continued support from each and every client who still seeks out Anthonys services are very much valued and appreciated! When all you want is just a good old fashioned haircut that never goes out of style, like an old friend you’re always welcome back to book with Anthony!

- Anthony (Antonino) Luciano is a second generation Italian master barber, traditionally taught his skills over 30 years ago in barber school, subsequently polished by training apprenticeship led by his Father Giuseppe,‘’Joe.” Anthony is professionally licensed with a certificate of qualification by “Skilled Trades Ontario” verifiable under his full name via their public register. Due to many times providing services in elder homes as well as entering private residences daily he is fully insured, has received, and can provide copy of his most recent YRP vulnerable record check.
- Anthony prides himself on upholding legacy, therefore continues to offer the most professional customer service coupled with the disappearing art of traditional good old fashioned barbering techniques… including the smoothest hot towel straight razor shaves. Haircuts for all ages, boys to senior age… from classic 1950’s tapers to modern, scissor style haircuts to brush cuts, gentleman's square back business cuts, flat top, crew cut, or just a light trim, and everything in between… tailored to your specific needs and requests! All haircuts are professionally finished including a straight razor shave with warm lather on the back of the neck. (If desired)

MENS CLOTHING DRIVE :collecting “Men’s” gently used work wear & professional apparel for a charity outreach program my wife is directly helping with that is focused on providing men living in the shelter system with clothing and accessories that help them begin a successful transition of reentering the workforce. I will be collecting items now into December…willing to pick up throughout central York region.
Most need are light jackets, sports jackets, short or long sleeve shirts polo or button downs, workwear, sweaters, pant's, jeans, belts, ties, clean shoes etc. Thank you in advance!
