Mobile hair stylists have long been a great option for seniors aging at home or living in senior living communities but to actually have a “classic barber” who can also offer a gentleman an old fashioned shave is a luxury many residents and their families have also now really come to appreciate. Whether old or young, everyone enjoys looking their best. However, people facing mobility challenges often have additional difficulties getting out to have their hair or beard trimmed as often as they would like and deserve to be spoiled with the options for white glove barbering service too!

Anthony is a traditionally trained professional master barber with 30 years experience, with over three decades of serving seniors in the barbershop he has learned how to adapt to many mobility and other challenges and now enjoys the opportunity of attending to them in the comfort of their home. More recently after his own father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s/Dementia he learned the importance of increasing his comfort level by meeting him on his time and space to get the best results as well as provide him the most comfortable experience. He is well versed and qualified to support seniors with Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s, Cancer, recent surgeries, chronic pain, and various other conditions. (Anthonys knowledge and awareness of Alzheimer's and other types of Dementias is not just of personal family experience alone but by recently taking the personal initiative to complete module studies by AlzEducate.ca. Including 101, 102, 103, communication, the core principles of personal centred care plus “Building Dementia Friendly Communities” for the service sector.)

For clients whom primarily are wheelchair or bed bound a creative workaround is provided for you to receive the best possible professional grooming service right in the comfort of your home, long term care residence or hospital setting. (Please note there is a parking fee for hospital visits).

Let safety be of no concern Anthony works very professionally, is fully licensed and follows all of the strict health department personal service protocols. He has a clean police criminal record and has obtained a copy of his VSC vulnerable sector check that is available upon your request.

Anthony is Barbicide certified, all tools and instruments are completely cleaned and sanitized between clients… shears, scissors, clippers, combs. He changes into indoor only shoes, has received his Covid-19 vaccinations and boosters, arrives with clean sanitized hands and additionally wears a mask wherever one is preferred or required. He has a very special portable barbers chair available for shave services and a comfortable directors chair for his haircut clients… only thing required from you is to provide a decently lit area and prepare to feel like a new man again!

There is no mess left behind to clean afterward up as he provides all the tools needed to clean the workspace as part of the full white glove service. Nothing beats an original classic… service includes any style of haircut personally tailored to your preference, taming any wild hairs in the eyebrows, ears and nose (if needed). Properly finished with a traditional warm lather straight razor shave on the back of the neck (if desired)

For the distinguished gentlemen… Includes a ”Classic Haircut” tailored to preference, finished with a traditional warm lather straight razor shave on the back of the neck as well as a complete “Beard Trim” sculpted to perfection (add straight shave under and around beard lines for $10)

What are your business hours?

Currently accepting mobile appointments from 9am to 6pm on a rolling schedule with one

How can I make an appointment and what areas do you provide your services in?

Yes services are available by appointment throughout the majority of Central York Region… Newmarket, Aurora, East Gwillimbury, Holland Landing, Bradford, Mount Albert, and Keswick... Expanded service to other areas Uxbridge and South Simcoe areas are available once per month and will be noted on the home page (please inquire if your slightly out of the area or no suitable dates /times are listed and I will do my best to work you into the schedule). Pro-tip: Some clients who live far have even included their family or friends for service hosting who reside inside the Central York area!

What types of hair services do you offer?

Offering the very best personalized white glove barbering services … traditional classic haircuts, beard trims, and old fashioned hot towel shaves. I also accommodate senior men of advanced age or disability ,who are in retirement residences or hospital as permitted.

Now reserving dates to host “Barber Day Events“ for senior long term care residences and other organizations. Additionally, providing a discounted program for chemo related hair-loss haircuts (please see the pink ribbon page for detail.)

What do I need to provide at my location?

Please note; prior to my arrival please pick a well lit area where an electrical outlet is accessible for haircut services. Normally a foyer, dinette, or any main floor area is suitable. The Barber chair, portable shave basin, and all other tools and towels are provided! In multi floor or smaller spaces when not shaving Anthony may elect to use “the directors chair” in lieu of the barbers chair. (Please allow just a few minutes for set up)

What about the hair… will there be a mess left behind?

No, I am very respectful of your personal home or office space and bring the all items needed to thoroughly clean up the workspace after your haircut. If it wasn't for your new refreshed dapper appearance and you bragging on having your own personal barber who visits you at home… no one would know I was ever there!

What exactly do you mean by “White Glove Service?”

I’m so glad you asked… As we are living in an age where everything can be delivered I am redefining the classic barbershop experience by now providing mobile based barbering services directly to your home.

Offering a personalized and meticulous approach to customer service … a type of personal service worth bragging about! In other words, providing you the very best in traditional barbering delivered with lots of attention to detail, excellence, and the utmost care.

What type of sanitary and safety precautions do you take?

As a barber of 30 years I follow a very high standard of safety measures as well as strictly follow the guidelines set out by the region. Clean hands and sterilized clippers, combs, and brushes, with brand new blades for each client. Masks can be chosen to be worn and I will wear one upon request when entering. Additionally I have a clear background and can supply copy of my most recent YRP VRC Vulnerable Record Check.

My husband is in the local hospital, can you cut his hair there?

Sure I can… as long as you pre-clear the visit and time with the nursing staff prior to booking as guidelines on visits change from time to time and vary from place to place. I have recently leaned that I cannot enter “quarantine “rooms of any kind with my tools where scrubbing is required. (Please note there is an additional $5-$10 hospital parking fee that applies on top of the service price that must be paid at the time of the booking.) Please contact for details.

How will my hair be washed? I have mobility challenges.

If you are in need of a shampoo I can provide you a dry shampoo but at this time unfortunately do not have the ability to set up a mobile shampoo station.

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepting all major credit or debit card payments through portable Square terminal. Cash is also always welcome. Currently payment is due at the time of service…However in the future a card may be required to book if last minute cancellations become a problem for scheduling.
